I stoped updating my Spread Sheet in July last year.
I do more nominations out in regional/country towns than I do locally. Most people from overseas don’t realise how spread out Australia is and how much distance there is between our State Cities and Country Towns. I can be 200km from home in 2 hours of driving.
Up to that point 96 Poi had been accepted.
37 Gyms created from that 96.
I couldn’t even guess how many more Poi nominated/accepted since I stopped populating my Spread Sheet as I had a bit of a break and only got active again in the last couple of months. I should update my list, it should be easy enough.

Ok, I’ve updated my spread sheet.
121 Poi accepted
96 are Pokestops of which 18 caused an existing Pokestop to become a Gym
3 of my noms started out as Pokestops but became Gyms when someone else got a Poi accepted
22 went straight in as Gyms

One of my appeals recently got accepted too (took a year or something) after being rejected by the community for over 20 times where it was definitely eligible and I did everything to show that, so I’m glad it’s in the game now. To be honest I haven’t been submitting a lot anymore this year, last time I submitted something was in January I think.
Still it just sucks working so hard to get the valuable wayspots through in your community and they just get mass rejected, and then seeing some dude submit a literal tree and it actually gets accepted, that thrown me off so much I haven’t even bothered to submit lately.
Edit: these. Clearly ineligible yet existing stops for some reason.

Though these are not fitting according to Niantic’s guidelines. But at least they look good and one can sit below the tree and can relax.
( On other hand, I might attempt to climb the bulb tree 
)
At least they offer more positive environment and kid-friendly atmosphere, rather than bars and breweries !!
Niantic should need to learn how to admire the nature’s beauty and fear the nature’s rage.

Is there a plaque or sign near or on the tree detailing it’s/any significance?
Have they used a picture of the actual tree rather than a plaque/sign that describes it’s significance?
I ask as I’ve gotten a Pine Tree in the game that was grown from the seeds of a very significant Pine tree in Australian War History. My nomination showed the Plaque but added pics and votes on pics has theTree being the Photo Disc now. In all honesty the pic of the Tree is more picturesque than the Plaque that made it a conforming nomination.

It seems like a normal tree, but their significance being their looks !
The idea of Wayfarer nomination process is highly broken, as the nomination is to be done by local people, rather than the centralized panel. Therefore, if the nominations somehow affect or help the reviewers then there are chances that those nominations will be selected, even if they are not good.
Rather I believe its pretty much useless to have Wayfarer in long run. As any thing significant or interesting should exist in the game, most probably. Therefore, any newcomers are left with little or no scope of using the Wayfarer.

Good question. Considering its location I doubt there is anything special regarding the tree but I’ll check that one
Anybody willing to upvote some pictures on a stop? I need that stop to become a Gym and I am only one Stop away.
All three pictures need an upvote, that way the chances of it becoming the Gym will improve.
One user on here already upvoted one of the pictures but I do not recall who. The other two are yet to be upvoted though.

Upvotes on PokéStop pictures help for Gym determination. The easiest way to get upvotes by sending Gifts to friends who can select the picture and then upvote it for you. If you tap on the Gift picture you will get the PokéStop menu that also allows you to see its pictures.
