So will those “shadow shards” will be of any use for me, outside the circumstances of “shadow raids” ?
Momentary answer: No
A good IV Shadow Mewtwo would be good for your playingstyle? Then they are worth to go for them.
And, who knows what will happen in a future?
My mom used to play pokemon go back in 2015-2016 ish (and maybe my dad, idk)
Has anyone else noticed the battle mechanic for battling Gyms has changed.
This is only noticeable if your battling in teams and very noticeable if your naughty and play an Alt and use them simultaneously.
Previously if 2 or more Trainers teamed a Pokémon they would all do damage and count for 1 round.
Now when you use 2 or more each trainer counts as battling on their own.
Here’s the kicker. If it would take 2 rounds to knock something out of a Gym and you have 2 Trainers start the battle at the same time the Pokémon will be kicked out as each Trainer does it’s own battle not two paired as one battle requiring you to go another round.
This has its positive and negatives.
The negative:
You now need good Pokémon leveled up to take down Gyms full of Punching bags (Blissey, Chansey, Snorlax)
Individual battles take longer.
The Positive:
If teaming a Gym with multiple Trainers the whole Gym will collapse quicker.
Getting GRazzed while attacking the Gym is not an issue when teaming a Gym as there’s less time between rounds.
Yes, I’ve noticed it. And another effect: until now, when defending a Gym, I waited until two attack-rounds had passed and then I gave a golden berry to reinstall health. This doesn’t work anymore when various attackers are there. The Pokémon jumps from plain health to kick out.
Hello everybody… gotta be quick… I’m stuck in rural France with intermittent 3G signal and no wi-fi…
Normal forum chat will be resumed when I get home to rural England in a couple of days… cheers
Happy Journey !
Gym battle mechanics has returned back to previous format.
I was really starting to like the change.
Must have been a glitch.
Anyone seen a Shadow Mewtwo Raid yet?
Zero sighted for me so far. I haven’t been actively looking though. Seeing plenty of Shadow Beldum which makes me sad as my 100% Shadow Metagross won’t be so rare now
I don’t even owe a single Metagross, I am waiting for Metagross CDC…
Shadow Mewtwo Raids every where tonight.
As expected the end result was disappointing.
These are hard work too with a small group of Trainers. Battles use up a lot of Pokémon and in turn consume a lot of health items ready for the next battle.
I did mine with 4 other Trainers.
First battle we didn’t have teams organised well and forgot about using the Purified Gems. 10sec was left on the clock when battle was completed.
Second one the battle teams were organised to maximise Mega Gengar use. The Gems were used as well resulting in 120 sec remaining.
I had more pressing matters to attend to so didn’t chase anymore but saw plenty of options.
The problem is that I have two shadow Mewtwo before even starting this Shadow raids…
So, why to engage in this rounds? Are they different? Are there any special moveset? Or is the only reason because it could be shiny?
Shiny Shadow is probably enough enticement.
I’ve already got 6 Shadow Mewtwo. My perception of raids is affecting my interest in this, though – because most of my captured raid bosses are at least 78 IV or higher. And most of my Shadow Mewtwo are crap IV. But isn’t the floor IV for this event lower than usual for raids?
Meaning virtually the only reason to raid these is the Shiny Shadow…
This is thing which I am hoping for !!
But I am playing cautiously because I don’t want to use up my remote raid passes which I bought at old rate on useless Pokemon, and without knowing the rate of receiving RRP from Breakthrough .
So, according to your experience, how much passes you got and how much breakthroughs you achieved in recent times ?
One of my friend from another Forum had got this :
He is Lv.50 trainer, and his all 5 friends are also al Lv.50 . Earlier I used to team up with him for some 5* raids of my choice, but now, I have no dice for these…
Back home from my French jaunt.
Managed to catch a few Klefki despite the crappy shadow event…
…and turned my shiny Furfrou to La Reine form in celebration…
For first time I had seen that form of Furfrou in Pokemon GO.
Here, the region specific form of Furfrou which is available to me is :
And yes, I use this for few times in GL, and he is good enough surprise Pokemon like Whiscash, Swampert and sometimes Talonflame pays the toll for being confident !
Season Of Hidden Gems is teased…
From name, it seems it will be focused around Rock Type Pokemon, and rumored Diancie for Go Fest.
Diancie’s relatives, Carbink; also exists, but I don’t think that they will be released.
