Lets talk - (anything)

I miss the incense and 1 Pokecoin weekly remote raid pass.

The later one was the best option by which the company could have nerfed the remote raids, rather than doing the outrageous decisions.

Plus I would like the legendary Pokemon from research breakthrough, as I had never experienced how it feels.

First of all, welcome.

How different are our playing styles… I use PvP only when investigation or level-up gives the reason. If not, no way to find me there.
But that’s exactly what makes PokemonGo so good, that you can choose the way to play it.

Thank You @bagguille

I am highly accustomed with PvP. As I had played every MSG till Gen-VI, along with many fan made games. Also I have 1660+ rating Pokemon Showdown.

For me, Pokemon means making a Pokemon team, and rising to the top by defeating other trainers.

Yes.

But, Niantic doesn’t provide good incentives and rewards for PvP players :sob: :sob: :sob:

Do you remember that they had made almost impossible to obtain Legendaries from GBL rewards ?

Yeah, I heared of it, but I got them all running around, without fighting with others.
For me the game game still means the “catch’em all”, and all for me are both genders and have to be Hundos. This way there’s allways something to look for.

Your playstyle is quite different from me, but that’s the reason why different types of people play the game !!

This is next to impossible for me, as no one plays the game here-around, neither I had seen people battling in raids in the city area as well. So, for me raids are purely dependent on remote participation, but in that scenario as well, I am very choosy

Hey everyone
Yesterday I came across an article where Mike Steranka gave his reaction to the recent backlash.

Read the following :

Yeah, we’ve definitely taken note, you know, it’s hard to ignore, right? Like, I’m personally being tagged a lot in a lot of these tweets. So we read everything, and we see everything, it’s one of those things where we never want to go out and respond to two calls like that, unless we have something to actually show for it. And for us for the rest of this year, we really feel like actions will speak louder than words.

And we’ve been working really hard as a development team to put together a huge slate of new features, that players we hope will enjoy over the course of this year. So, you know, personally speaking, right, like, I’m pretty sure I used to do more remote raids than 99 percent of your readers, right?

That was like a very, very painful decision to make even for me. But when we look at sort of the overall health of the game, and the type of behaviors that remote raid passes were introducing, it just really didn’t align with the kind of experience we were trying to create. And I can honestly say like, even for me personally, it became sort of an unhealthy way to engage with the game, right? I would just sort of throw money at Poké Coins so that I can, you know, spam legendary raids as much as possible.

And we’re talking about legendary Pokémon they’re supposed to be the epic epitome of all Pokémon, you know, content. And this is something that players including myself are doing over a dozen times a day for some people over 100 times a day. And so that’s something that we really honestly let go on a little bit too long and ultimately needed to course correct.

And so yeah, we have no plans to directly address any of the HearUsNiantic things recently, because we’ll be sticking with the decision that was made. But instead, we’re hopeful that players will see a lot of the hard work that the team has been putting into this game for the past year because I think what we have coming out in 2023, is gonna really blow people away.

So again, super, super painful decision that is not something we took lightly. But it’s something that we felt is necessary for the longevity of the game and to also ensure that we’re not really compromising on our mission.

How it seems to you all ?

Quoting the line from above excerpt :

These 2 lines don’t align properly for me.
:man_shrugging:

If the company wants to make legendary Pokemon really feel like that, then they should change the raid system.
As these Pokemon are rare, so giving them via research lines/weekly breakthrough is the best method, as it will make us feel that we actually took effort to obtain them, similar to those instances in MSG.
Whereas, making 5* raids, elite raids or any other “elite” stuffs are basically a way to spam for legendary Pokemon easily. Battle more there, get more Legendary, this is the exact theme. Those who can afford and has means to participate in it gets Legendary Pokemon easily

Going few thoughts ahead, I feel obtaining Legendary Pokemon after winning in GBL feels more rewarding and satisfying than getting them via raids.
Still, Niantic messed that as well !!!

The experience they’re trying to create might have been realistic in the trajectory the game was taking before the dampanic, I mean pandemic. But the conditions are not what they were, and that vision is no longer realistic. But they’re hell bent on making it happen, even if it ruins a game that many had come to love.

I hope Niantic finds a new player base that wants a game like what they’re making. I and others liked the game that had evolved by 2022. I suspect I’m not the only one who wishes that game live had been allowed to live instead of being forced back to something that it almost was a few years ago. After the covid mess the world did not go back to what it was, and that game won’t fit in the world that became.

That reads like “Yes we hear you but bad luck we made a decision and we will stick with it”
I understand the cap but why make it as low as they did?

I started playing the game from 2021, so I don’t know what game was before it, because of which I am accustomed with the playing style which was provided at that time. Therefore, bringing the changes in those will be too harsh, as it will “force” me to take extraordinary efforts in order to maintain with the company’s ideology.

Can I know what might be the CP range of the Crabominable if I evolve my 926CP or 531CP Crabrawler ?

CP only is not enough information for exact calc, but:
start - extr. min - reasonable min - media - reasonable max - extr. max
531 - 1003 - 1144 - 1176 - 1205 - 1370
926 - 1719 - 1982 - 2053 - 2116 - 2450

There are tables and formulae where you need to know the three values of attack. defense and health (or stamina) to calc the exact value

First time getting a remote raid pass from research breakthrough!

Nice. But I bet hat breakthrough reward turns out to be about as common as the new Master Ball.

Yes !!

This much is enough for me to decide which species will be viable in GL or UL, and what should be the base CP for Crabominable for those leagues.

Very Thanks

My rockruff looks fine when I play with it but has dead eyes in the buddy bubble.

Too bad…

In my case, everything’s fine :

Maybe you are not giving quality treats to your buddy ? Maybe the fact that he likes Golden Razz berries and Poffins, and you are providing him with Razz berries, Nanab Berries or Pinap berries ?

:joy:

Or try this :

Or see if changing buddy and then again making Rockruff as buddy helps or not…

I had to turn the game off and back on to fix it. Happens when I switch buddies lately, but only with rockruff.

Today I battled with Rocket balloon grunt, and to my surprise, I was rewarded with shadow shard instead of Rocket Radar component !

Why this bad thing happened to me ?

Happens to all of us. The reason is, if you take a look to your items, then you see a complete radar. And until you don’t use it, you will not receive components. After you receive both things after a fight.
