So even though I hardly have time to get myself a Kecleon this weekend my curiosity couldn’t stop me and after 200 stops I found another. Went to it, smashed its head, it jumped off, and guess what?
Nothing… NOTHING happened. Nothing. No Kecleon to be found at all. And that is today’s reason to ask myself why I still bother playing this game. It’s ridiculous. Niantic can keep their Kecleon, even if I do happen to find one I might just ignore it.
Good one. I was thinking it felt almost like times when I tried to get a girlfriend to break up with me, or vice-versa, in the misguided effort to avoid the guilt from an outright dump.
With them it could be more a matter of avoiding liabiilty than sparing feelings. If they just up and cancel the game, they might get sued, whether fair or not. But if they shake the game enough to motivate all the players to quit playing, they could just end it and move on to their next product development. I dunno…
Found another Kecleon like 1.5km away in the most forsaken area ever and couldn’t be bothered, especially not for a Kecleon I likely cannot encounter anyway like last time I tried to catch one.
It seems fair to say the rate is about 1/100 stops.
Yup. I suppose if I go to spin a stop and it has a Kecleon on it, I might try to catch it. But the task of going all over San Francisco to find which one or two stops have one to TRY to catch… I have neither the time nor patience to try that.
Besides, if we spin a hundred stops a day, who will have time or storage space for opening friend gifts? I’m almost ready to ignore that it had its debut, and just expect I’ll never get the Hoenn DEX platinum.
You don’t need to spin stops, just check if it has Kecleon.
It’s probably easier to wait for the Hoenn Tour because I’m sure they will be a lot more common by then. Not currently worth my time. Especially not since it apparently is bugged.
I’m not in the habit of going around to stops, in range, and not spinning. But just the part of going all over to check stops would take all the time I want to spend catching and raiding. While I will try to catch if I happen to run into one, I plan not to spend my time looking for one.
FWIW, @NotanotherKangaskhan , I’ve checked about a hundred stops today (after several dozen last night), and haven’t seen one, either.
I’ve been checking the stops in my village for invisible lizards and BOOM I’ll be darned if one hasn’t shown up!… but it’s after midnight and it’s cold and wet…
And it takes more than being a little outnumbered to deter from a Zekrom fight… The fourth trainer in the lobby with us just now has never been one to shy away from hard raids, so I don’t think he bailed out at the last second (probably a net glitch or a game crash, both of which happen waaaay too frequently of late).
Whatever happened to him, thanks for sticking with me for what was a fun (near-glorious) trio, @celery .
Apparently there’s a Kecleon on a stop that’s just out of range for me, but to get there I have to travel a long distance, so it looks like I’ll be working in the basement for the upcoming 15 minutes hoping my GPS signal is bad enough for me to be able to catch it, and if not, won’t call it a loss otherwise I would’ve just walked to it.
Took two minutes and you wouldn’t guess… it, AGAIN, did NOT spawn for *]^{$|£+$ sake!
