Lets see, the only reason to use this is for a chance to get a Galar bird. And until now I had only three chances… maybe better to let this incense go
1 bird (first use) seen from 7 maybe 8 uses.
If it wasn’t for the quest line I wouldn’t bother at all with what I now know.
But you really have this bird? Or have you only had the chance?
Of course not.
Several of these comments make it sound like there’s some on-screen indication of which spawns are for this incense, even though the weather-boost rings make it hard to see. Am I reading that right? I’ve seen NO visible difference between daily-incense spawns and others.
Once you tap on the spawn you see his name and on top the blue sign of the incense.
Apart, before tapping, it has red rings around on the ground.
Don’t know if the normal incense do the same, I nearly never use them.
The daily nonsense has a faint blue ring.
I haven’t even been using it anymore.
The blue-incense symbol during the catch-encounter is obvious enough that even I (who am prone to observational lapses) noticed it. But the time it takes to tap, look, notice whether it has that symbol, and back out if it’s not there, is often enough for an actual incense spawn to de-spawn. Just tapping on every spawn to look usually left me with fewer than 4 incense catches for the whole 15 minutes.
I was looking for some clear way to tell which are the spawns I want to catch BEFORE tapping on them. Thanks for this tip – I’ll try it this evening to see if my eye can see that little red (or blue?) circle around it on the main screen.
If you look close enough @vorgriff3 the Yanma has some kind of blue aura next to it. This aura indicates it is a Daily Incense spawn.
Didn’t catch all of them, but still a good haul nonetheless.
This one… not so much. Although I did get a Shiny Munna during the Incense but it was a wild spawn.
NICE! Congratulations on that bird!!
A game friend of mine apparently caught the Moltres, too. I was beginning to think that claims of capture were a lot like Sasquatch sightings…
I tried setting off a daily nonsense the other day and confirmed to myself once again what a waste of time and effort the whole thing is.
