Pokemon Go-tcha Pairing

I’m sure this dead horse has been beat to a pulp. But can anyone help me?

I’ve had my Pokemon Go-tcha for about two weeks now and at first it was working great. A couple days ago I tried to login for the day but the connection fails. Not only that but the screen on the device has an X instead of a check where is says it is paired. I’ve trylied holding the button but it never changes from the X to a check. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ with all the recent updates. Any help would be appreciated.

Gotcha not getting pokestops

I’ve been using a Gotcha for the last month and just this past week I’ve been having trouble with it getting pokestops. I’ve read about the soft ban and it doesn’t sound like that’s the case here. I am still able to get pokestops of I spin it manually. It will show a pokestop is on range but won’t get it automatically. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you’re in range to spin it manually it will not let you do it with the gotcha at least that’s what I’ve been told
