Let the GO Fest chatter begin!

Will we get Mega Energy for Rayquaza and Diancie from their respective special research ?

It will be interesting if these Pokemon will make their appearance as per the Niantic’s new motives, i.e to promote Gen-IX or will be based from previous generations…

Most probably Scarlet/Violet will be considered…

I believe this was the case but I will have to look it up to be sure.

Edit: no, this is not yet certain. You will be able to receive Meteorites from the Special Research, but no word on Mega Energy yet.

A post was merged into an existing topic: Pokémon GO leaks & spoilers

Much obliged for the organized details, which can help us plan our play. I’m initially inclined to think that my Sunday will be entirely devoted to raiding (or almost entirely), attempting to balance pursuit of the Primals and Mega-Rayray.

Raids that are designated for in-person only present major obstacles in this post-pandammit setup; I’m hoping none of the desirable mons get that treatment.

I’ve got work all day 4am to 4pm Saturday
Golf 7am to 3pm Sunday (travel there , game, lunch, travel home).
That leaves very small windows to play.
I might be best just not turning the game on .
With the lack of time to Raid between finish work and family commitments Wed-Fri. I sense my window to finally get that 100% Groudon or Kyogre has been nailed shut.

Poor guy… but there’s life apart of PoGo

Honestly, I have to say this GO Fest is one of the best. I went to New York for it, and, let me just say, it was WAY more organized than last year.

Not only that, but the spawns are an added bonus. It’s great that the team included all sorts of Pokémon. They really thought about all the aspects of the game (GBL, Pokédex Completion, ect….) and included differnt Pokémon that helped with those different aspects.

Overall, I am super excited for Global!!

(Ok, unpopular opinion, but the Pikachu Shiny this year……It isn’t my favorite. :woman_shrugging:)

There is also the accidental release of Shadow Snorlax wearing a cowboy hat, for those who want to add this unique Pokémon to the collection now is your chance.

Thanks a lot @Jormdeworm !!

Your valuable input about Diancie research is very much helpful…

Only this task is tough for me to do :

And since we are getting 400 mega energy in total (300 +100), so should I bothered to do 2* Carbink Raids ?

And another question based on this. Since Niantic told that Carbink Raid will provide us Diancie Mega energy, so will be getting them straight after winning, or we will get them only after reaching Step 5 ?

GO Snapshot encounters, Field Research, Carbink spawning on Incense for Ticket Holders and Shellos being incorrectly listed (this was Niantic’s fault) have been updated now.

@Jormdeworm, from when there will be Ultra Unlock Event, and did people managed to finish the challenge ?

So there will be Ultra Unlock events running from September 5 - 15.

Sunday Special Research provided by Serebi. So yes @DeltaEmerald you will get Rayquaza Mega Energy, and apparently Kyogre/Groudon Primal Energy too.

Showcases appear to be Pikachu and Rayquaza on Sunday.
