Same for me, most are residential. But i got at least 5 gyms where I can catch those losers. I’m sure they read what I type here. Suddenly the best known gyms by the spoofers get targeted when I’m in. And the first is spoofing again. Can’t prove it (yet), but i’ll report him non the less. Niantic can check the data.
I think I started a little war in town. And I like it. Let’s bait the traps
The cheaters are fairly easy to flush out as they think they are being clever/smart. Your one biggest advantage is thy can’t see you there waiting for them.
It just takes a bit of time and determination to catch them like you’ve done. When you do catch them in the act it’s a very rewarding moment.
Someones in for a shock next time they log into the game.
I was dumbfounded that the trainer name I saw on a Lured Stop even got through in the first place.
It’s not fit to post the pic but it was:
420(insert lady part spelled with a K instead of a C)Muncha
Good to see Niantic jumped on it quickly after I logged the notification.
Anyone else been moved enough to report offensive Trainer Names?
I don’t think it’s right to report no one even that time I posted about a spoofer I just left it alone it’s not my business and as far as names go it doesn’t matter was someone’s name is or if its offencive or don’t think it’s right to report someone even if there’s proof and they still have to work at spoofing so I don’t think it’s right report anyone for anything unless they’re being violent
If u spoof and stay low on the radar you won’t be detected. Spoofing is always wrong, but if you behave like you walk around I can live with that. I won’t hunt them down.
But aggressive spoofers, the type I go to war with, do target everyone not in there team. And somehow Yellow make them look green(and Al accounts I suspect of spoofing are Mystic…) It might drive new players away. This type of spoofer ruining the game and fun for others just for there own gain.
There are gyms near my raiding area that are on private property having only private roads and lanes to them. I would love to learn how to spoof, to raid those gyms without risk of trespassing charges. Or a gym across the street that’s just a few feet out of reach from my office.
I have no desire to spoof to take gyms from others and kind of lost interest in taking and keeping gyms about the time I developed a taste for raiding. (Basically it’s the non-competitive aspects of the game that tend to be the most durably appealing to me.)
I once attacked a gym on private property, and dude came up to me and pulled a gun out. I’m like, “Seriously? You’re going to shoot me because of a mobile game? You have no balls to shoot me because your life will be over if you shoot someone for no justification.” I finished the gym and left. Never went back because I didn’t feel like getting a firearm pulled on me again.
Despite the veritable deluge of game bugs encountered, the last 24 hours went pretty well for me in the game, compared to most days (and in particular contrasted with the days I come here to vent my frustrations).
It might be a good opportunity to savor the satisfaction for a day or so while organizing my item and pokemon bags, doing some overdue evolves and power-ups, and getting more ready for May’s featured raid bosses.
I just thought since I tend to vent here my occasional days of contempt for the game, the pursuit of fairness would obligate me to share the occasional day of contentment, as well.
