Interesting. I don’t think I have seen or ever even heard about it.
On a side note, I installed the buggy update before I knew it was buggy and it is buggy I can confirm. I just tried putting on the Daily Incense and but it doesn’t turn it on (unless you can’t in the last 10 minutes of the day anymore?) They promised me I would be able to collect Field Researches with a full Item Bag but I can’t. I haven’t experienced as many bugs as people claim (do indeed have some minor ones and these two I just listed) but I still would recommend waiting with the update.
I found this in Google, seems this field is allways empty
Maybe it only wants to say you have to get the XP “+” the four tasks in the lower part.

My home Gym finally got upgraded to EX Raid Gym with the latest update. It was already EX Raid eligible by its location but for some reason it didn’t trigger the Gym to become an EX Raid Gym until two days ago.

Culled another heap of Shiny over the last week. Time well over due to let them go as we are never going to to see one of the best game QoL changes in being able to do 5 or more Special Trades a day. If I used the one I get a day on a Shiny I can’t do a Legendary.
Even capping it to 1 Legendary and 1 Shiny would be a good place to start.

What’s the community feel on the use of auto tapper apps for Raiding and spamming PvP?
I briefly looked at maybe trying this but when I went to the App Store to find a free one the reviews showed the Apps were misleading and not really auto tappers so I gave up quickly.
Really the tapping is the most boring part of the game. And when my wife see me doing it, I receive a shaking head and comments like “seems you have lost a little bit of mental health”.
But back to your cuestion, I have not seen any working app for this.
I know of some on our local Discord that use them.
Update: I bought my new PC in November and it’s working great. I pre-ordered Hogwarts Legacy digital deluxe edition a couple of days ago and I can’t wait to play it on 7 February.
Congrats on the new PC working well. And have fun with the new Hairy Otter game. My interest in that franchise is close to the square root of negative one. (i.e. an imaginary number)

About the closest I can come to liking anything remotely related to Hogwarts is my taste for many different forms of pork. Yum.

PoGO Live has posted a generalized look-ahead, a sort of “save the date” list for the next few months, giving dates of Community Days and dates for other events. Though no details about what the feature mons will be for the first list, nor what the events are for the second list. Just the dates.
In its list of CDs is a CD Classic for April 29. Does anybody recall when the last CD was that lasted 6 hours? Just call the CD Classic a CD Repeat or CD Reprise, since the only meaningful distinction from regular CD seems to be that their feature mon had a CD in past years.

Stumbled upon this article that claims Niantic confirmed to them shiny rates for global Hoenn Tour will be boosted for everyone, so if that’s true, that’s amazing news, and to be honest I can’t help but give Niantic credit for their work since 2023, it feels like they’re finally trying their best to make the game great again.

On a totally different tack, I just noticed Machamp is missing a finger on his lower-left hand (on the llower right from our POV, facing him). Confirming that I can be pretty unobservant, having played since
2016 without noticing it…

When my guy does the full flex, he sprouts that 5th finger like yours.
While this third view clearly shows one finger fewer, and it doesn’t appear to be hiding the 5th finger in an obvious way, either. Still, it’s only a curiosity, not evean an annoyance.
I’m still impressed by the game’s animation after 6 and a half years of playing…
