How was Your Community day

I read your comments and don’t understand what has happened…
I made around 800 Machop-candies, but only around 60 XL-candies.
At this rate the necessary XL to make a lvl 50 are nearly imposible to reach.

800 candies? That’s only about 200 catches after transfers. I’m sure a lot of us averaged more than 100 catches per hourMost of us did around 700+ catches.

I don’t want to be that guy, but it doesn’t sound like you tried too hard over Community Day. If you were busy with anything during that time, that’s understandable, but I wouldn’t fault the game for that. 800 candies to 60 Candy XL sounds like an average ratio. Had you done around what we done, your candy would be closer to 2800 candy which is about 210 Candy XL if faithful to the ratio. A large bulk of my Candy XL gains were from transfers.

No problem with the amount of catches, but with the ratio. If you are right the ratio is 1 XL for 13 Normal? Which means 1 XL for every 4 catches?

XL candy is based on the CP of the pokemon you catch, the higher CP, the more (chance to get) XL candy. Same goes for the transfers. So if you only caught the lower ones because they were easier and faster that would explain a lot.
I’ve netted over 500 XL candy with my ~900 catches, 5 of the 6 hours were weatherboosted though, which of course helps. I’ve had catches with 2 or 3 XL candy per catch, things go fast that way.

I got 178 XL Candy from 316 Encounters, so that’s not bad I think. Did a quick catch hunt and after that I mainly went for Shinies.

Maybe it’s because I can’t walk around, but you can be shure I caught every blue or green ■■■■■ which was in my reach, not one has escaped, and I’ve worked with incense and module.

Not sure on today. Caught a few rosella I accidentally came across today, got 3 shinies. Evolved 1. Haven’t caught more than 30 rosella today.

Think it could have been at least decent
But I wasn’t worried about getting as much shinies as possible, I already got 2 hundo roserade, 2 shiny roselia and/or roserade and a shiny video

Made the special investigation and on the way I got 1 shiny…, evolve one only to fullfill the investigation.

For me the CD with less emotion ever, maybe it’s because there are too many activities.

It was a perfect CD! I got everything one could ask from a CD. The weather was nice and Roselia were weather boosted all the time. I got lots of stardust. I found many good-IV Roselia and even 2 shinies that had good IVs! On top of that I got a hundo Roselia from the special research! I got 7 shinies including shiny Budew! I hatched several 12km, 10km and 7km eggs thanks to reduced egg distance and got some good Pokemon. I managed to do all this in the first 3 hours, so I didn’t play that much in the next 3 hours. I evolved 4 Roserade and got 1 from the special research. I had time to fight some Team Go Rocket grunts and I caught shadow Snorlax with good IVs. I also did 2 Suicune raids. Now, that’s what I call a great CD!

Roselia was weather boosted all the time during CD hours, many Roselia caught were high level and given candy XL too, end up with 11 shiny caught.

Also thanks to reduced egg hatch distance, a 96% Deino was hatched from 12km egg.

I couldn’t get enthusiastic about this one even though The evolution is one of the strong Grass attackers.
Stayed home and chained 2x incense 30min after event started. Caught manually for 30min the let Go Plus do the work while I watched TV until 4pm then went manual for remainder.
2 Shiny in first 3hrs and 8 more after that.
91% best Shiny
96% best normal.

I broke my community day shiny record with a total of 24 shinies. We went out a bit too, since my sister had to deliver stuff and then headed towards the beach where my sister kept asking me how Roselia spawned on water. I sent some of the 24 to Home cause of space, but of what I have on Go still… it’s going to take a while to get organized.

In total, I got two three star shinies, not including the Budew I hatched. The one I kept is an 87% or so shiny. The one who’s now on Sword was a 93% shiny… which I am now realizing I should’ve kept instead. I didn’t think I would get two good shinies so I evolved the 87% at the beginning. Whoops.

Hatched my first shiny baby Pokemon, who was also my first Budew… since I happened to have egg space and incubators.

The worst part was not having enough coins to buy myself a remote raid pass for Suicine. But I was close enough to do a quick Shinx raid… and get demolished by an Absol… again… I did toss some Pokemon into gyms in the meantime… currently at 72 coins with one Pokemon left in a gym. He’s probably coming back today.

I put my screenshots on a google doc since imugr and email are being frusturating.

Underwhelming for the 30 minutes I was able to play. Got 1 shiny though

I’ve played two hours and got 4 shiny, one of them with 91 IV, and none of the normal has got better value…

I played mainly during the first half. Caught eight shinies, none of them have three star IVs. I was hoping to encounter a shiny from the research task so there was a better chance of high IVs, but I just don’t have that luck apparently.

I imagine those days it is not the number of shinies which is important - but the number of XL candies… Considering that I played less than 2h and I ended up with 94 - 6h should give enough to upgrade one pokemon to lvl50.

14 shinies.

Stayed home and did all of this one on 2x Incense. Ran lucky eggs for 5 1/2 hours and cashed in on the XP ( no idea of exact gain)
4 in the first hour at 1 per hour.
9 in the last 2 hours.
None of those Shiny were better than 1 Star.
Best non Shiny was a 98%. I already had a Lucky 98% which I evolved at the start of the CD.

Got a talonflame powered up to 1500 CP. It evolved during CD and had 14/15/14 stats. Going to replace my Clefable in Great GBL.

I caught a whopping 32 shinies… all mainly 0-1 star OR 2 star with still terrible stats (like borderline 1 star). Ah well.

9 shiny, none is 3 star, its catch rate was already increased before its community day, and catch rate is even higher during CD hour, so it costs 1 to 2 balls each to catch one, which is great news.
