Have any of you encountered the daily catch limit before? I think I might have reached it because I cannot catch a thing, but can still spin stops, do gyms, etc:

I believe about 600, but now they all run away
I didnāt know there was a limit and have not reached one even after catching on the Go Plus during the day for a couple of hrs and a 4hr session on a Quad Poke Stop spot Lured up the whole time.
But 600ā¦ Iām not shure I would be able to catch so many with a lure upon my head near nests and with a PoGoPlus for not loosing timeā¦ 
From what Iāve heard, apparently you get punished for reaching the limit. The next day, the limit goes down. They also subtly lowered the limit in May and told no one about it.

Thatās strange they would set a limit as every thing they do to the game is geared to making you play more.
It is an anti bot measure. It takes about 30 secs to catch a single PokĆ©mon. To catch 600 you would need to catch a pokemon every 30 seconds for 5 hours straight. As this would be impossible to do under normal circumstances they donāt allow it. The only way to guarantee it is to have a loop of 10 or stops,l that you could walk in 5 mins, keep them lures for 5 hours and catch every PokĆ©mon.
Obviously you could play longer and get the same result but I donāt think Niantic wants people staring at their phone for 10 hours a day either. They feel it is about the journey not about the grind. have never caught more than 400 PokĆ©mon in an area with crazy spawns and stops, and that was using my Go Plus to catch as I walked. Canāt fathom getting to 600 in a day.

Were you playing when the Pink Event was on in Feb? For some bizarre reason Porygon was every where during that time as well.
