I read online that if you want to evolve Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon after using Tamao/Sakura, then you need to walk whichever Eevee you want to evolve as your buddy for at least 10km and then evolve during the day for Espeon & at night for Umbreon.
I walked my 93% Eevee for 10km and then tried to evolve it into Umbreon late last night and it went into Jolteon which is obv not what I wanted. I was pissed cause I wanted a good Umbreon as another option for when I battle Mewtwo tomorrow afternoon.
That must be the problem then cause I didn’t evolve it as my buddy…Once I hit 10km, I changed buddies and then evolved it…I didn’t know that you could evolve something while it was your buddy…good to know…thanks
i walked mine for 13 km and while it was still my buddy i evolved at night and got an umbreon. gunna repeat and hopefully get the same result. like the others have stated, was it still your buddy?
It will work fine as long as the evolution is done at night while it’s your buddy.
I’ve just evolved 4 in a row over the last week. I slipped 2 Espeon in during the day as well
