Deoxys Counters Guide

This is my guide on how to beat Deoxys.
Remeber that Deoxys takes the top charts in time to win perspective and they will come in handy on pvp.

Below I will list the best conters for Deoxys and their movesets. Some counters for Mewtwo may not be good against Deoxys.

    Poison Jab, Dark Pulse

(As soon as you catch one, use one. They have a very good time to win :wink:)

  1. Mewtwo: Psycho Cut, Shadow Ball
    3.Tyranitar: Bite, Crunch
  2. Gengar: Shadow Claw, Shadow Ball
  3. Absol: Snarl, Dark Pulse
  4. Sharpedo: Bite, Crunch
  5. Houndoom: Snarl, Foul Play
  6. Scizor: Fury Cutter, X-Scissor
  7. Pinsir: Bug Bite, X- Scissor
  8. Dragonite: Dragon Tail, Outrage
  9. Cacturne: Sucker Punch, Dark Pulse
  10. Banette: Shado Claw, Shadow Ball
  11. Latios: Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw
  12. Muk-Alola: Bite, Dark Pulse
  13. Shrifty: Feint Attack, Foul Play
  14. Kyogre: Waterfall, Hydro Pump
  15. Raikou: Thunder Shock, Wild Charge
  16. Scyther: Fury Cutter, X-Scissor
  17. Raquaza: Dragon Tail, Outrage
  18. Mew: Shadow Claw, Dark Pulse
  19. Alakazam: Psycho Cut, Shadow Ball

If I receive an EX pass, I will use my Houndoom.
If I get another? I will use the deoxys I just caught.

My son made a team of just Mewtwos today.

Wow. Tell him to switch them out for Deoxys when he gets them.

I won’t use any Mewtwos until after the 23rd and I pick which one to power up. Probably won’t get Deoyxis until next year when it goes into normal raids.

Mew finally has use

But there are two problems with Mew:
It’s very hard to obtain those 2 moves.
It’s expensive to power up mew to usable level since it’s just level 15

Deoxys Normal has no fighting fast or charge move, dark type team has no problem against it.

Deoxys as attacker on another deoxys only works if you get the attack form. Niantic said we would be fighting the normal form so you probably only get to catch that one.

I dont think L20 deoxys is better than any of my L40s so Id rather stay away from including it in my team anytime soon

Why not? If someone invested in it then why keep it locked away
