I have received no coins for many pokemon after they defended gyms for many hours. Although I understand the gym system and have seen if other peoplee have this issue, I am still receiving no coins from many pokemon.
You only get a maximum of 50 Pokécoins per day no matter how many Pokémon come back to you in that 1 day period. If you have 4 in gyms and enjoy first one brings you back 50 Pokécoins then even if the other three come back that same day, you won’t get any more. Check your journal when they come back to you, it should say how many coins you got.
