I think @NotanotherKangaskhan is king of gyms. Not me. He has over 250 gold. I only have 64.

My gyms are all in high traffic areas. Have to take some 3 times a day.

I love it when I get berried while taking a gym I’m not Gold at yet. Just means more points toward the gold badge. And I got way more max potions and max Revives than they got gold berries.

I didn’t paint town blue tonight but specifically targeted the few gyms in town I’m not Gold at yet. I stopped at 11 so as not to be rude to my fellow red and yellow players. I could have easily reached my 20 gym limit but left it at 15.

We actually work good together and I see most of them at raids. So I won’t knock them out an hour before midnight, unless they request it to get coins

That’s just being lucky to live in the right place, cause in Europe for example everything gets introduced late in the evening.
