I thought it might be interesting to see how many Pokémon trainers have saved by region.
To do this go to the Pokémon tab, then Search, then See More and scroll down to Region.
I think I’m a reasonably typical trainer.
I save Pokémon that are useful for PvE and sometimes PvP. High IVs, Shinies, Luckies, Costumes - but usually not more than one of each species in each category.
My stats show an imbalance heavily in favour of Gen 1 Kanto Region Pokémon. I feel this is because Niantic has focused its attention on these - sometimes to the detriment of other regions.

I have a lot more Shiny, 100% and Shadows from Kanto than any other Region thus the much larger number.
