A Shiny shipper? Haven’t seen that one before…
I make a lot of visits to our Port here, but this is really new…
Most of the shiny Pokémon I’ve caught lately have been completely ship.
Anyhoo, ‘cos it’s male and shiny - but mostly just ‘cos I like it - here’s another Alteria tossing it’s fluffed-up feathers…
I’ll call that the golden fluff
Shuppet… autocorrect lol
bruh, we have repeats of mega pokemon in mega raids. How do all of you feel about that?
Nothing I didn’t expect.
To be frankly, I’ve never cared about Mega Raids.
Exactly why I Mega Evolve
Haven’t done any Mega Kanga raids yet. Finding it hard to get the enthusiasm as I can’t see how a Normal type Mega is going to be of any practical use. Pity as I’ve got the XL’s to go straight to L50.
I’m grinding the heck out of Kangaskhan. I know that it isn’t worth much for IVs and whatnot, but I want a hundo so I’m trying to get as many as I can to maximize my Lucky Trade ops. Worked for Heracross…
I’ll Mega Evolve one for the entry later.
I do love this new system though. Been alternating between all my Mega Evolutions I have hundos for and just letting the clock run out on them then move onto the next one.
Really, a good change, and on top you get more candy catching Pokémon of the same type as the active mega… much better than before.
I don’t fully understand all the changes yet but from little I do I think improvement has been made. Seems to be more incentive to use them.
Being my regional I’m lucky enough to have 2x100% Kangas. Pity it’s normal typing serves no use in a Raid team.
Still don’t have a hundo that I would want to use, but hey, a recently acquired 98% is not a bad consolation. I’ll just have to hope my Lucky Trades at some point pull through.
EDIT: For those about to battle Mega Latios and Latias, they are NO JOKE!! Their battle CPs are over 80,000, making them a Level 6 Raid Boss. You will very likely need a full team of 6 trainers with friend bonuses. Mega Evolutions may play a bigger role in these battles than ever before. Gear up your Mega Houndoom, Mega Gyarados, Mega Altaria (to boost Dragon and Fairy attacks) and Mega Gengar. You may need them this week!
Good news is that you may not need to do that many to get sufficient Mega Energy. You can cap out at 200 Mega Energy earned each Raid Battle, but odds are you’ll get 150 or 175. Mega Latios and Mega Latias require 300 Mega Energy to Mega Evolve initially.
Got around to catching up on this thread and saw your Mega Ampharos post. Dig the Philip K. Dick reference.
Cheers @vorgriff3
Beyond this shiny mega Ampharos (I’ve just got around to evolving for the first time) truly Lies The Wub
From the year 1952, some things never go away…
Did some Mega Lati Raids yesterday. These are are by far the most difficult Raids that have been in the Game to date.
In order to win with a small amount of Trainers those involved need to have put some work into building suitable Raid teams. These no skating by using recommended Aggrons and Lugia as these won’t cut it and can result in the group not defeating the the Mega.
Got those Hosting Raids on PokeGenie or like Apps I recommend you have others in you group as relying on randoms to be prepared could be a gamble on ensuring a win.
Short Teaming you may get by with 5 as long as everyone well prepared for the battle.
Around 8-10 will be required for not so well prepared trainers.
Everyone using Mega Gengar with Giratina will make things easier until everyone has their own Mega Lati’s to use in teams.
As reference these are my own teams.
I usually do damage in the 30-40% range on everything else.
