Who’s that Pokemon?
It’s…
that was a neat effect! I have yet to evolve past the 1st stage of that family, I completely forgot about it after waiting for a showcase to end.
IT’s PIKACHU!!!
Finally got an interesting Bounsweet from a research task and managed to evolve it. I find this family so cute, I can’t wait to have all 3!
I also hit the necessary 7km today to evolve the Sneasel, so got myself a Sneasler. I think the name is kind of funny and I actually prefer this evolution to the first stage. For some reason, even though I love cats, that one didn’t really captivate me much. (although after seeing it for 7km I like it better now…).
I got this one from an egg from Austria and it’s also one value short of perfect, which is a plus!
I got these two fluffy evolutions today:
Togekiss took me a while especially, because I waited to hatch a particularly good Togepi as I’ll be using it a lot, I love it!
Yesterday I got Leavanny during Community Day and it looks lovely!
But this one was a surprise:
I didn’t realise that it was Shuppet’s evolution until after I caught it. It has zero stars and the Shuppet I have is far better and I’ll be evolving it soon, but it was still a surprise!
I’m actually particularly glad to have caught this one, as the stats are not only good, but it also means I’ll keep it in this form and my better trapinch (something I don’t see often at all and when I do it’s usually disappointing) will go all the way into a Flygon, which looks great to me!
My first goodra! I find it so adorable and had more than enough candy with all the goomy I tend to hatch, it was just a matter of waiting for an extra good one. I have a shiny goomy, but it will stay like that, as I also like that form.
I also had enough candy to evolve my graveler. I didn’t realise it could also have electric attacks, though. It is an unexpcted plus for me, as I’m kind of short on that apart from a very good ampharos and a raichu I’ll slowly improve. I’m seeing Shinx everywhere, so that is another ongoing project. (I don’t even have an average jolteon, because the game decided to curse me that way.)
Every time I see victreebel I think of James from team rocket launching it for a battle, only to end up inside the pokemon. That screech victreebel does is also hilarious. I wonder what the sound will be here, whenever I get it!
I had a bunch of new registers yesterday, as I evolved into the final evolutions during spotlight hour to get extra xp.
Thanks to the ongoing collector challenge I finally have a nidoqueen! I’m seeing a lot of nidoran and, after an eternity of looking for a particularly good one, I have a queen.
Now I’m missing 17 pokemon to complete the kanto region (19 with mew and mewtwo and + 3 with galarian versions), which is something that has improved a lot in these past few months.
I’m very glad to finally have this massive chunk of a pokemon! Tyranitar looks both menacing and cute, it’s awesome and a great addition to my top ones.
I also got a grumpy dog!
My only complaint about this one is the animation. I hadn’t noticed it had wings (I wasn’t familiar with the pokemon before), they only appear as the pokemon is added to the pokedex. When I checked it after, it does a bit of body movement, but without the wings… and they did look cool! And with this one I complete all evolutions for the trio.
Aha! It was a lot more frustrating fighting team rocket leaders, than Giovanni, that was a breeze!
Arlo was fine the 1st time because I was lucky to get hypno. I tried him a second time yesterday, but I just can’t deal with the gyarados, it’s a nightmare since I lack a good electric (I have to use a more “neutral” option and hope for a charge attack) so I let it go as I was very short on potions. Then it was upsetting waiting for Sierra to pop up, I kept getting either Arlo or Cliff.
For the final battle, I’m very glad I managed to add a second charge attack to my beautiful primarina a short while ago, so now it has both water/fairy charge attacks, as it covered many of Giovanni’s second pokemon and heatran, too. I got Kingdra so I was glad for the fairy attack! It survived (barely) until heatran and then my donphan finished the job. It was great!
If I fight the leaders one more time, do I get a big radar again to fight giovanni, even if it’s outside the task? I have a leftover radar from a research task I ended a while ago (got 3 from accumulated old tasks, used 2 already for cresselia, so I’ve 1 left now), but I don’t see a point in using it since I’m not disappointed at all with the heatran I got.
I didn’t know this pokemon either, it looks like an armored pup to me!
Hopefully I can explain the answer to your question @Stridian that makes sense.
You can only get another Super Radar for another shot at Giovanni if you have an outstanding quest not completed from one of the previous set of tasks.
Example in my case.
I never completed the Rocket tasks to get Giovanni for Shadow Rainbow Goose.
I can now complete that one plus the recent one and get 2x shots at Giovanni for Shadow Heatran.
got it, thanks! I can fight team leaders (sierra, etc) on a regular basis, which I do like for the eggs and the pokemon, but I definitely would like more chances at giovanni. I have a super radar that I’ll be saving up for a different time, then, maybe for a different legendary that interests me more!
Shadows do massive damage so it’s worth targeting specific Meta relevant ones like Metagross, Machamp, Gyarados, Dragonite, Salamance, Rhyperior and Gardivor.
My most prized Pokémon is this destroyer.
and it’s also a best buddy right? That’s awesome! I evolved my first one the other day, I forgot to post it here, but it’s pretty much a baby in comparison.
I’ve been blessed today! Not only did it appear, but I caught it!
I love how galarian zapdos looks particularly angry!
I think the stats may explain why I managed to catch it? It’s a baby!
I saw it on the map, clicked on it and, seeing it wasn’t a shiny one, I was fully prepared for it to flee. I was just going to try my best and keep going!
I used 1 golden razberry and 1 ultra ball, managed a “great” throw, and I caught it! I couldn’t believe it!
I think with more patience and timing it better I can maybe get an excellent throw, as I wasn’t jumping around much, unexpectedly (for me). Maybe if it’s stronger it would?
Anyway, I was ecstatic! Now hopefully my next one will be my favourite: Moltres!
I found this one in the wild! whenever I find the last evolution in the wild it’s usually with very low stats, but I definitely appreciate the change in this one, as totodile is one of my favourite pokemon and it’s not easy finding a good one to take to the final stage. My best one is regularly my buddy, and it will remain forever a totodile! So, I’m super glad to have found this one and I’ll be using it for the future, as I just really like the pokemon!
Finally I found a good murkrow to evolve! I know there’s an event coming and it’s going to appear more often, but I have plenty of berries, and I couldn’t wait to have the evolution, really. Just look at the silly feather hat, it’s awesome!
I can’t believe I hatched one finally!
This was also the moment I noticed I wasn’t enjoying research day. The egg popped up and all I could think of was “aah get out of the way, so I can spin this thing for the 3rd time so I finally get a research task and get on with it!”. And then “oh wait, what’s that?!”. I would have been so glad had it been a different day, as my focus would be on the hatch itself, wondering what it would be!
I know it sounds weird, but it just gives me more anxiety than actual fun.
