I mean, somebody else that played everything/saw everything might not think it funny at all, either, so it’s all very relative, still, but definitely something that caught my eye!
I used to watch the anime when I was a kid and some things stuck with me, but mostly the first and second generation. And a bit later with the 3rd generation, too. So a lot of my “attachments” to pokemon in this game is influenced by what I experienced back then, more to do with the pokemon’s aesthetics/character and not so much with usage in raids and battles.
My last game was Sapphire, but I plan to fix that sometime soon, but personally I loved seeing the pokemon come to life in the shows (series or films), I think it gives it a whole other perspective and richness to the (sometimes not so) little creatures.
Since I haven’t kept up with either the shows or games, I innevitably discover a lot of new pokemon through pokemon go. Once in a while I encounter something in the wild that I haven’t seen before, not even in gyms (delibird is my latest example, but I was super happy when I discovered Rufflet, as I really like its design).
What I love particularly about Pokemon is its ability to appeal to many people who will find joy in its many expressions, being through pokemon go or console games, shows, card collecting, art, plushies, etc…

wow, was that from the wild or an egg? I’ve enough candy to evolve Nickit but all I’ve found in the wild is below 1 star. For some pokemon I don’t mind, since having the register takes priority, but for this one I’d like something much better! I really like the design. I’m waiting on a good hatch!
I found it in the wild. Take a look if in your area are a group of players which publish when they see a Hundo. @NotanotherKangaskhan is using this system and seems it helps a lot.

I didn’t know that was even a thing, thanks! I’ll look it up. 
For example, sometimes in the pokemon radar I’ll see pokemon with an award on the bottom… Does that mean they are hundos? I never quite understood that.
In the meantime, I’ve hatched one that I’m happy to evolve, so there’s that!
Normally this sign of award tells you that a collection is for complete, and you still need this Pokémon to do one step more.

Understood! I had never connected with the ongoing collection challenges, it makes sense.
I’ve hatched two eggs and out came 2 giant Bouffalant! I had been hoping to get this one for a while, after seeing it in a gym once.
(I don’t have any other 10km eggs from this event, so after Sigilyph and now these 2, that means I miss on Maractus for now, unfortunately. Considering all, I’m okay with how it turned out!)

I’m very happy about this hatch, not so much the timing of my screenshot, it looks like a different pokemon
