This is the place to talk about remote trading and coordinate trades with your forever friends in Pokemon GO. ![]()
Message for my best friends on the forum @bagguille @bobbyjack8 @Brobraam @celery @Cup @Jormdeworm @NotanotherKangaskhan @Pokemon @Stridian @vorgriff3
Please open my gifts and send me one back every day so we can reach Forever Friends status sooner. After that, we can coordinate remote trades. We should all make a checklist of Pokemon we want to get to make the process easier.
What are you mainly looking for? Maybe I can help.
I want to have every version of every Pokemon in my Pokedex and storage. That includes shinies I don’t have, costumed Pokemon (I don’t have armored Mewtwo and male Pikachu in diving equipment), regionals, variants (I don’t have clone Pokemon), gigantamax Pokemon etc. There is a shiny checklist maker on leekduck.com that we can use to show others which Pokemon we want.
Oh, yeeeees, I’m using him to see what’s out to catch.
The biggest problem for me in this game that I cannot see which Pokémon I still have to be aware of.
They show what you have, and what you have seen. But no way to know what has been out there and you have not seen it.
I have a database in Excel of all Pokémon I know, but I can be never shure that it is on the latest stage.
I can help with almost all of them
We must level up our friendship every day until we are able to do a remote trade. Sending and opening gifts is the best way, also participating in weekly challenges.
Up to there very well, but could you write a little bit? Something like a summary?
Thanks in advance
This video from Poké Daxi provides a comprehensive guide to the new Remote Trading feature in Pokémon GO, which officially became available for the first time on January 22, 2026.
How Remote Trading Works [00:24]
- Forever Friends: To trade remotely, you must reach the new “Forever Friends” level, which is one tier higher than Best Friends.
- Timeframe: It typically takes 90 days of interactions to reach this level, but participating in Weekly Challenges can cut this time in half (approx. 45 days) [00:43].
- Limits: You can complete one remote trade per day. It does not count toward your daily special trade or standard trade limits [01:27].
- Reset: After a remote trade is completed, you must earn another 90 hearts to unlock the feature again with that specific friend [01:43].
Best Pokémon to Remote Trade
The video highlights specific categories of Pokémon that are most valuable for global trading: - Shiny Regionals: These are highly sought after because they are locked to specific parts of the world.
- Tier 1 (Rarest): Mime Jr., Kangaskhan, Farfetch’d, Tropius, Relicanth, Sigilyph, and Comfey [02:58].
- Tier 2/3: Pokémon like Heatmor, Durant, and the Lake Trio (Azelf, Mesprit, Uxie) are also valuable but have appeared in more global events [03:34].
- Event Exclusives: * Costume Pokémon: In-person event costumes like Sun/Moon Crown Eevee or Pikachu [05:17].
- Rare Forms: Armored Mewtwo, Clone Pokémon (Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur), and Rotom forms [05:30].
- Shiny Variants with Multiple Patterns: * Furfrou: Many of its 9 trims are region-locked [07:04].
- Spinda: There are 9 different shiny patterns that rotate through field research [07:49].
- Vivillon/Scatterbug: Trading for patterns from regions like Tundra or Sandstorm that are difficult to find locally [10:40].
- Legendaries & Megas: Mirror trading (trading the same Pokémon to each other) to aim for a “Shundo” (Shiny 100% IV). Notable mentions include Mega Lucario Z, Shiny Rayquaza, and Primal Groudon/Kyogre [09:43].
Tips for a Successful Trade [11:23] - Use Tags: Create a specific tag in your storage for Pokémon you are willing to trade so friends can easily see your “trade list.”
- Lucky Trades: It is highly recommended to wait until you are Lucky Friends before remote trading to ensure high IVs [01:38].
- Communication: Coordinate via Discord or social media rather than relying solely on in-game tags to negotiate fair trades [11:45].
Wow, that’s a really good summary…
Many thanks for this work.
