Broke my own rule of not Mega evolving unless it’s a 100%. While I was being a renegade I broke my other rule of not powering a Legendary past L40 unless it’s a 100% also.
With a ton of XL and normal Candy I conceded defeat that I’m never get that 100%.

This is Lopunny, the 11th Hundo I caught. Today marks 4 years since I caught it. And 4 years later, it is the first Hundo to reach Level 50. While it doesn’t have the best Mega, it is a testament to how I didn’t give up no matter how many Bunearys escaped an Ultra Ball (which was a lot).

This is Ursaluna, the very first Hundo I ever caught. When I encountered it, it did take until the last Ball to catch it. At the time, I only had around 118 candy, so I decided to Purify it and evolve it into Ursaring. It, along with Torchic (who eventually evolved into Blaziken) were the only Pokemon that could act as fighting types at that time (and it would only be around a year before I caught Machop, my 11th Hundo). Even after catching Torchic (which was getting really annoying since so many of them fled) in February 2022, I was shortmanned on fighting types. After it evolved into Ursaring, it was able to function as a backup Fighting type due to having access to Counter. When Teddiursa CD was announced for November of 2022, I was very excited, since I had almost no candy after powering up Ursaring to Lvl. 40. My Fighting type problems were solved after I caught Machop, I ended up powering it up to Level 40 and later evolving it into Machamp during the Pokemon World Championships event in July 2022. When Teddiursa Community Day rolled around, I grinded as much Teddiursa Candy and Candy XLs as I could. After Ursaring evolved into Ursaluna, It was finally able to step back from the frontlines as Torchic had finally finished its training as a Combusken and was finally able to stand on its own two feet as a Blaziken. I was only 64 Teddiursa Candy XLs away after Teddiursa CD and later its eventual Spotlight Hour in 2024 and it was only after the Completely Normal event in September 2025 that I was able to gather up the rest of them. Now, it sits in my box until it gets a much needed move update, and it sometimes gets placed in Gyms. I’m extremely happy that I was able to finally max out one of my most treasured and oldest Pokemon that was there throughout the beginnings of my journey to catch 'em all.
