I evolved one Shinx and did a raid yesterday for #2 Shinx
Did a heap on the way home from work. Still nothing worth evolving. Will be a long wait now as I’m not chasing them for only 3 Candy.
Got one this morning. Neat looking critter. Not sure it was worth it, but I raised its attack/defend rating in Pokegenie from C/D to A/A with one charged-TM.
(Using the TM meant keeping it without evolving it, I guess.)

Need some thoughts on Luxray. Haven’t got one yet, so I thought I get some input on which one to evolve from the ones I got. It would be really cool to evolve the shiny one, but stats aren’t super great tho… Numbers for each are in order: attack, defense, stamina.
Your thoughts?
I’d recommend evolving a 15/15/13 Shinx or the shiny one if you like to have a shiny Luxray.

OK, it would be better to choose the 15/15/13 rather than the 15/10/14?

Surely not if the goal is to be using Luxray as an attacker?

Agreed ATK owns STA. But then we are back to the question: is 15/10/14 better than 15/15/13?
I think no but honestly I have no idea what defense really does.

It can take more hits, like a Machamp at 2000 cp with a defense stat of 15 can get off a few more hits then a machamp at 2000 cp with a defense stat of 5.
15/15/13> 15/10/14

Some articles mentions that the lesser value for Def makes the energy gained when hit will be higher. Is it absolutely true that 15/15/13 owns 15/10/14 in this particular case? (TDO is higher? DPS is higher?) Assuming no dodging.
