A fair few of the shinesters in this event are perma-boosted :face_with_monocle:

But sister topped them with this beauty!

Correct. We essentially got Ultra Unlock: Permaboost part 1 and Ultra Unlock: Permaboost part 2

Perma-boost = Perma-boring

We’ve all seen ‘em, and caught ‘em, many times before :expressionless:

Seems as if you wanted to make a call to get the shiny… :joy:

There are usually at least a couple of players around who HAVEN’T seen one, let alone caught one. Random numbers aren’t uniformly distributed, but get clumpy in hits AND misses.

It would be tasteful (or at least civil) for us to avoid treating excess success as some kind of burden, when posting. I’m trying to keep my own Schadenfreude AND Sour Grapes to a minimum.

(I liked the days when “but at least it’s a shiny” was seen here more often…)

Strongly disagree.

I think I’m in the majority of people who think that Niantic re-hash too much content, and are trying to wring every last cent from the game to the detriment of their players.

And if I get a shiny of a species for the 30th+ time - because Niantic constantly pushes it, while neglecting hundreds of others - I’m fully entitled to complain about it.

If you don’t agree that’s your prerogative, but please don’t ask me to remain silent.

I wasn’t trying to get you to be silent. Just to consider how rude it is to complain about having too much in the faces of some who have none. If I’m in the minority on that, so be it. God forbid another shiny Eevee or Bronzor crosses your path. :scream:

As a bystander who gets a medium-ish amount of shinies (I have two shiny Bronzor), I feel that both sides of this arguement are valid. You both have really great points.

It seems to me that the argument of Niantic pushing the same shinies over and over again is true to a certain extent, but of course some shinies are always going to be more and less rare than others. However, Bronzor and Eevee have really appeared quite a bit in the years that this game has been out—and especially lately.

Some people might be disappointed by the fact that others complain about—or at least are less excited by—the shines they catch. However, most people who are on this forum—or at least who visit it regularly—seem to be at about my level or above. That is, they have one or two of a lot of the shinies in the game, or at least of the ones that people would complain about. But new members should definitely feel welcome on the forum.

My personal conclusion is that Eevee and Bronzor especially have been Pokémon spawning too much. Eevee I can sort of understand, because you need nine to compete the family, and many players love Eevee, but I feel like complaints about those two or others that have very high shiny spawns are justified. But of course, it is still a shiny—or at least a candy from the professor . I think if someone started complaining about a fifteenth shiny Articuno, that could be demoralizing for some, but I haven’t seen anyone do anything like that on here.

I find it very easy as I don’t care about Shiny.
