Yes, it’s a Ditto! FINALLY I found one last night! I still have a research task from 2022, when I started playing the game, that asks for 3 dittos, but as I stopped playing until 2023 (on and off) I never got to complete it.
I’d been trying for the last months to find one, catching pokemon it usually disguises itself as (I looked this up online), used incenses… nothing!
Last night I saw an Oddish and, at first, I wasn’t going to pick it, but then remembered I needed more berries to get to a Vileplume, so might as well… Suddenly it started turning pink/red and in confusion I was like “is this the dynamax thing? I thought it didn’t work like this…” only for it to be a Ditto! It’s been so long I didn’t remember it anymore.
This increases my legendaries to 4 (Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem and now Regigigas). However, from the talk I got in the end, it was like I was supposed to have caught Dialga or Palkia?
I’m only finishing this research task now and can’t remember much about it, but from what I can see I must have chosen Palkia route, because I completed a task and caught (beautiful) Mismagius recently.
I looked up the guide and the 2nd phase of the research task says “catch Palkia”, which I mustn’t have got to in time, when the event was active, because I don’t have it now.
I looked up online and that was replaced with “Catch a Legendary Pokemon” (instead of Palkia), and it must have progressed after I got one of the Cosmog…
Oh well, that’s a bit disappointing but I wasn’t playing as consistently as I am now, so it slipped. And since I hardly ever do a task from beginning to end, it kind of gets mixed with everything else!
Happy with todays haul used for Candy building and later XL Trading. Hopefully I can get that third 100% Trading the Dreepy from the other family accts.

I’ve caught two so far, but nothing over 1 star. It’s still worth the pokedex entry, of course, but I’m aiming for better luck in egg hatches - same with grookey, I need to evolve one by tomorrow but the ones I’ve encountered are all below 2 stars, I hate spending berries at “random” just to complete sth!)
I can’t believe I finally have a fantastic Gardevoir! I got it after completing a research task and it was quite the jump when I checked the stars, as all the ralts around my area (even though they are very uncommon) are below average. I managed to evolve 2 good ones (nothing above 2 stars…) among the scarcity of quality because I was hoping to at least get a decent Gardevoir (found one in the wild but no stars) and now this! Amazing!
Now, this is a much better Cresselia! For some reason, I thought I’d only be fighting Giovanni very rarely…
(I must also say I had a much harder time fighting him now, with the need of 2 very good fighters as Kangashkan was the second one. I had to use more strategy, as Machamp is my best boy but I really needed an extra strong one, so I had to find a way around that! Last time went very well, but it was a better combo for me anyway. Something to look into as soon as possible!)

I caught my best growlithe to date, that I immediately evolved (I always have plenty of candy, as they’re everywhere around here). I adore this pokemon, especially the evolution and although my Hisuian Arcanine are pretty great (not perfect…), I was lacking a bit on the Gen 1 variety… until now!
My goal for machop’s spotlight hour was to find at least a very good one, so I could have another machamp I could use regularly. I already had the last machamp in the pic and managed to catch 2 machop that were really good and that I evolved after the event (they are the first two).
So I now have 3 great machamps and, besides being a pokemon I find very cool, I was really in need of another very good fighter in my team!
There’s another machop I caught that’s also pretty good, but I’ll keep it like that as it’s quite a big boy and I may need it for showcases…
The only thing I wish I had done better was using more pinap berries, I was very short on them, but sometimes I’d just forget to, as well -.- (I was short on pokeballs in general, so I had to manage differently) and now the leveling up process is going to take some time. But whatever, that’s fine!
Anyway, I’m super glad as the majority I capture from grunts are very weak and I like my birds to be as good as possible (flying type is one of my favourites). I don’t have enough candy to evolve it just yet, but this will be my archeops definitely!
I’ll keep that in mind, I was unsure about the value on the attack, but they are cascading towards the hp, so I shouldn’t have doubted. I’ve indeed already blessed my perfect archen!
I caught a wonderful magnemite and immediately evolved it into this one. I’m very close to having enough berries to evolve it into a Magnezone, which will come very handy to me, as I’m short on electric pokemon. I also got another particularly good one, but that will have to wait on the evolutions.
Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to complete the rest of the timed research, as the heavy rain where I’m at means I won’t be spinning pokestops. Maybe, if there’s a bit of a break or a cool down, I’ll manage 5, but that’s it. So, no magnetic lure module for me, no immediate magnezone…
Fortunately it is a pokemon I see often in the wild, around here, so nothing major to worry about.
well then! I was going to wait until I had a task to purify a shadow pokemon, as I thought it would be one value short… I was very lucky then!
