It’s really good to see the Forum has become more active again. :grinning::+1:

(But I don’t have the time to keep up-to-date in every thread… so apologies from me if I miss something I could have responded to) :slightly_smiling_face:

Just hanging out with some family members on a bush walk to claim back a Gym.
These 2 weren’t to concerned with my presence within 10-15m. The rest of the mob (between 20-30 Members) was around 150m away including a very big Bull that was eyeing me for a good period of time while I walked down the hill.

I was going through my game’s statistical data, and there I found a relevant data which is quite interesting :

It has been 2 years since I started playing Pokemon GO, and in those two years I had won 38 raids…

Now Niantic had presented me a set of task in which I need to win 60 raids, but in three months !!

This 60 raids will be the big problem for all of us.

I should be able to knock out the 60 raids in 2 weeks. What will keep me from getting the Master Ball will be the 50 km of walking; circumstances just won’t be conducive to it.

For a player like me, who is not on PvE side, finishing 60 raids should take more than a year…

Instead, if asked to win 500 battles in a season, then it is very much possible.

Niantic is doing some new deeds :

They WHAT? I need to read more about that.

If only correct nominations can be given, then it is inneccesary to have a Wayfarer platform… :joy: :joy:

So I managed to find the post of said Pokémon GO player and it appears he fell victim of the so called “Netherlands abuse” (a group of Dutch Pokémon GO players created a bot that mass approves any nomination, I’ve seen a few of these mass approved stops around here too and even shared a PokéStop of a tree online here). The creator said the PokéStops could have been ineligible as Wayspots and so they were probably mass approved by the bots whereas they would’ve been rejected by the main audience.

Why is Niantic banning the submitters, not the reviewers? If anything, most abuse appears from the side of the reviewers, and Niantic doesn’t do anything about it. Instead, they ban people who just try to help Niantic and had no intentions of doing anything wrong? This is the most infuratiating thing I’ve ever seen Niantic do. I had plans to do some more nominations (they should be eligible) but I’m definitely not going to risk my Pokémon GO account for literally helping out Niantic.

And ohh, how exciting, another crap Stop appeared…

Totally a great submission…

I’m glad I haven’t seen this one in-game yet.

Next thing you know, they’ll penalize players whose Pokéstop scans fall below their expectations. I’m suddenly relieved that I never even tried to submit OR review a wayfarer thing. Good grief.

I have no problem with bans being handed out for the really obvious nonsense does not comply nominations. I do think it is extreme where the nominations are a bit subjective as I’ve only had 1 appeal knocked back. Would I have an imposed suspension/ban based on those community rejections now that were over ruled by Niantic?
I should really be a 2 prong attack on poor reviewing as much as poor nominations as per the claims of a bot network used to approve poor nominations. I guess they’ve taken the stop the bad noms they stop the Bot reviews. Only problem is their can be a lot of innocent collateral damage with that sledgehammer approach.
The game plays on humans being creatures of habit. You get into a cycle of doing the same/similar routines every day. You break that cycle with a 30 day suspension/ban and it’s easy not to return to that routine and find something else that fills that time. If I fell victim to a suspension/ban I’m fairly sure that would be the end of me playing PokémonGo.

I have reacted exactly in reverse mode. My first account has been banned, and now I play with three other accounts completely independent from Niantic, and bans cannot bother me anymore.

I absolutely agree on this part. The submitter of the grass field that I posted above would definitely deserve it if he got banned because that was definitely intended as abuse.

However, we don’t know what Niantic considers abuse. Is anything ineligible abuse? Could you get banned if the community decides your nomination is bad, but it is still clearly eligible? If something is borderline acceptable but gets rejected instead, would that be abuse? These are all questions only Niantic knows the answer of, and since they do not seem to be providing any info I’d rather not risk my Pokémon GO account, especially considering I’m in the affected area. I really hope all my Appeals have gone through, because I haven’t been nominating since the Netherlands abuse started, but Appeals could get me. If my account gets banned, this will absolutely be the end for me.
