This gives some new details, but also leaves some glaring gaps (including a weeklong event at the end of July for which no details are being given… as if Niantic is saying they mean to do something but haven’t a clue, yet, what to do)
They like to be coy, so I don’t think it’s a lack of planning.
What’s really interesting is that there’s a 15-day gap between the Anniversary event and the mystery event. I have my doubts they will let an eventless time period go that long. Methinks something in the middle is coming.

Data mining has shown the Galarian forms of the Birds are in the code now apparently.
Return of the 3 Birds disappointing if only Kanto. Can’t see myself doing enough Kanto Moltress for the XL’s to use on my good Shadow.

The only one I have a 100% for is Articuno.
I have an army of Mammo that out class it as Ice attackers so no need to chase Xl’s
