I am almost done with “Too The Max” tasks but stuck with the “Unlock a Max Move” task, what am I missing about how to clear this one? I tried powering a move up for the first time and one to the final stage as well.
The only thing I can add is it doesn’t register as “Unlock a Max Move” unless you actually teach the pokemon a new move (either guard or spirit, if you don’t have either of those yet).
If you only upgrade an already existing move (to a level 2, for example), it does not count towards that task, because you’re not unlocking a new move, only improving one that you had before.
That’s what I noticed happenning with me, when I did that.

hadn’t thought of that, just assumed they were all unlocked at base stage and just needed powering up to make them better, once i gathered more energy i will try that thank you
Yes, you need to unlock first and then you get Level 1. No problem!

I levelled up the one in Blue first and that did not complete the task.
As soon as I levelled up the one in Red it was completed.
The task is to start a new move, so opening the first level of the second fulfills.
Yes, only the one in Red needs to the powered up. Did that only on another account and the task was completed.
