i was searching on gohub database and saw “generation 9” button, i was kinda curious so i clicked. How did they know CP for every pokemon that are not out yet? Doesnt even looks like random numbers, im sorry if thats offtopic btw
Essentially, there is an established formula that Niantic uses to convert the six values of the core games–HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, Speed–into the three values that Niantic uses–HP, Attack, Defense.
From those values, another formula can be used to calculate the CP.
Anyone who knows these formulas can take the stats themselves and determine the stat spread and CP after conversion. I’ve done it myself to see how the new additions to past evolution lines discovered in Paldea stacked up.
