After years of trying I finally got a pokestop to be added to the game very close to my house, but it’s a gym
My friend and I both frequent it, but it’s obvious we are the only ones who do, as our pokemon have been in it since the start
Looked it up and on quora they said inactive pokestops are removed after a period. Is this true? Does it apply to gyms?
I have heard of Pokéstops removed because they were inaccessable, or in dangerous places, or in private places and the owner doesn’t wanted the visits.
But because of inactivity? We had here an example of a player with a Pokémon placed for more than a year in a Gym. And apart, this rule would be very bad for areas far away from the cities.

If your spinning that Gym occasionally or regularly that would surely show its active and prevent removal if there is such a thing.
