Just want to know why this is limited to 20. I so wish we had the larger allowances we got in a special season last year.

It’s just a rule of the game. The idea is that you need time to play before you reach a Platin level in any of the medals.
The limits seemed to make more sense when friends and gifting started, and gifts tended to have WAY more goodies than now. It was often enough to refill my item bag just to open a dozen gifts, at which point we needed to start discarding items just to open more gifts (for leveling-up friendships).
Some events now increase gift limits, though, so watch out for that.

I’ve been playing since day one but am only now trying to learn the interesting stuff, besides gift limits of course, to see if I can get better at this game.
Would have been great if they did this for GO Fest. They advertise event exclusive eggs, but make them basically unobtainable. Same thing for Adventure Week.

Absolutely, the gift limits were definitely more meaningful when the contents of gifts were more substantial and frequent. Back then, opening a handful of gifts could easily refill your item bag, which sometimes required discarding items to make space for more. Nowadays, it’s not as impactful, though some events do temporarily increase the gift limits, which is always nice to keep an eye on.

Thanks. I’ve also just discovered I can only spin and collect 150 gifts per day too.
