I got 300 Exp for catching a pokemon, 300exp for an excellent throw, 30 for a curve ball, and 150 for first throw for a total of 780 exp without a lucky egg on

Yhe list of Fire pokémon is much longer so that’s prolly the reason. But maybe you are right.
