General discussion

I would like so. But I have a question… in the opening screen, in the top left, there is a bird, which I think is a Wingull. Anybody has seen him?

Nope, he’s probably coming in the next wave with the other flying types

Well, could be, but would be the last of the screen…

Unless they planned to release Wingull for Christmas and then botched the launch of him, seems likely

Likely for Niantic, yes

That’s the style of Niantic/The Pokemon Company to make the amount of stuffs exactly equals multiple of 10. For the waves of Gen 3 release, the amount of Pokemon available are 50 & 20 respectively, not 50+ or 20+. To fit in with that principle, some water type Pokemon like Wingull & Surskit can’t be released as expected during Christmas event.

Because Wingul is also part flying and Surskit is part bug

And flying when it evolves

I wonder how Niantic link up flying/Dragon type Pokemon with Valentine’s day.

Hold on. Clamperl family is purely water type Pokemon Family, but they hasn’t been released yet.

Clamperl (I think) will require an evolution item to evolve so that’s why it’s still not released. Also, we still don’t have Smeargle or Mew/Celebi.

However Clamperl’s evolution items have already been found in the datamined codes.

As always, when we don’t know something, just remember that it’s Niantic. What I wish they did was release a timeline of all the events they have planned for The year and when they’ll be. Imagine how much easier that would be for everyone

If the unreleased Pokemon are sorted by types, they’re mainly in bug, dragon, flying, normal, ground, rock types. What typical events can fit in these Pokemon types?

Remember last year when they did the adventure week rock event?

Maybe something like that

I think World Blossom Day might be one of those events as well.

Just nothing can be dealt with normal type Pokemon.

Maybe just one of this random “hey, here’s double XP” events

Alternatively, do you remember that every gen 3 release will be accompanied by new system/feature? Abilities could be one in case.
