Change Reward Pokemon?

Hi,

Newbie here is a couple senses. Being here, duh but also I’ve only been playing the game for about 3 weeks.

Can you change the encounter reward Pokemon? I really don’t want another Snorlax right now. I don’t have any great or ultra balls in my items. I feel just using normal old Pokeballs on this guy is a waste of my money.

The shame is I can’t battle anyone who is real until this road block ends. I say anyone real since Team Rocket is just software and not another player online.

There are some that have more than one choice to be encountered, but no, it is either fixed or completely random. The player has no choice in what they encounter.
