I keep seeing mixed reviews about both pixels and their ability to run pokemon go. I’m going to buy a smart phone (I currently have a smartphone through tracfone and it’s borderline broken) and I’m stuck between a pixel and a Samsung s8.
Are the loading issues still present after the Android update on either phones?
Until recently I had a Google Pixel with Android 8.1 (security patch level May 2018) and I never had trouble running Pokémon GO on it. The only problem I had was with the battery. The battery literally got destroyed by PoGo within the 18 months I had it, but I have to admit I didn’t pay attention to battery health.
I can’t speak for the Pixel 2 though.
