41. How many gold gym badges do you have?

Got #217 today today, it’s a Starbucks at a new area of another city that I have been working on. Two Kyurem raids, one black and one white pushed it gold.

Got #218 gold yesterday, it’s an aquatic center not far from #217, this gym has very limited roadside parking that could reach it. Thanks to various raids during the current Unova week, this gym badge advanced to gold faster than expected.

Got #219 gold today, it used to be a PokeStop and became a gym after the McDonald next to it became a sponsored PokeStop, it’s not far from #197. A Cottonee raid pushed it gold

Maybe you could help me.
Reading your messages seems as you own the gym and after you win a raid in this same gym. And the sum of this two things is enough to push this gym for you in Gold?

I wish I “own” the gym, but not in reality. I did many raids and put my Pokemon in the gym if there is any empty slot. It’s just that the progress bar is so close to gold that one more raid is enough to push it gold.

If I remember correctly, gold gym badge requires 30k gym xp and each raid rewards 1k gym xp, so if you continue doing one raid at the same gym every day for 30 days straight, it would turn gold.

Got #220 gold today, it’s a park sign in the same park as #218, a Heatean duo pushed it gold.

With “own” I meant it has your color and one of your Pokémon is inside. But if I understand this is not necessary, just 30k in raids is enough?

Yes, if you do 30 raids at the same gym, it would turn gold.

Actually I have 3 gold gyms badges that are raid only, meaning they have 0 battle victory and 0 time defended at those gyms.

Got #221 gold after a shadow raid today, it’s a mural inside a local McDonalds done by artists from nearby school
