I won’t leave it until the end of September to update August.
August started very slowly and it looked like I wouldn’t get my target of 15 per month I’m aiming for. With a number of regional Gyms lucky enough to stay the full duration I managed to just reach that target.

September has started ok but it’s not going to be a picnic as 2 of the 3 areas I’ve been working have some very territorial players. Had a run in with one with them getting nasty a couple of weeks ago. Not the first fruit loop I’ve encountered playing this game and won’t be the last I’m sure.
Got #203 gold yesterday, it’s in a big shopping plaza with multiple shops and restaurants, it’s first gold gym of 3 gyms in the plaza and first of 6 gyms in the area I have been working on.
Got #205 gold yesterday, it’s a sports complex dedicated in September 1989, my pokemon was able to stay there for 8+ days and did some raids in between.
Got #206 gold today, it’s the third gold gym of 3 gyms in the same plaza as #203 and #204, it is near a pancake restaurant and turned gold while my Pokemon stayed there for 1+ days.
Went to post October update and realised I hadn’t posted September so here’s both.
September was a very productive month with a lot that had been slowly progressing finally reaching Gold.

October was not so good falling well short of the personal target of 15 per month. So many new Gyms started and not many that were getting close. Not getting many long stays so it was a slog.

Got #208 gold today, it’s a small park at a roadside surrounded by apartments. I dropped my Pokemon 3 seconds before a raid started and did the raid, it pushed it gold.
Got #209 gold today after another raid, this new gym is a piece of wall art mural at popular Sharetea location
Got #210 today, it’s next to a tv station with low turn over rate, my Pokemon was able to stay there for 10+ days before being kicked out today, it turned gold while it’s still there.
Better update November before December ends.
Quite a few were nearing completion in October resulting in that month falling short of my personal monthly target. A number of those got pushed across the line resulting in November being above the target of fifteen.

Got #214 gold on the mega Gallade raid day on Jan 11th, it’s located next to a gas station and it’s a welcome sign to.a city. A mega Gallade raid pushed it gold
I forgot to post in here when I turned my first gym gold, so, here it is, I have exactly one gold gym badge!
If I don’t misremember, it was my Ursaring that got stuck in a gym hardly one ever goes to, which of course is good in this situation. I couldn’t wait for it to be defeated so I’d actually get the gold, that took a while…
Finally getting around to posting the end of 2024 and December results. Not doing as much travel and playing over 200km from home on weekends in the last 3 months saw my regional Gold Gyms preventing the number for the year not reaching as high as I’d like.
