I live in a small town, where we have two pokestops and two gyms. It is impossible to get enough balls in here to play. Now when the gyms changed, it is easier to get coins to buy balls. Still, to level up in the game, you would have to buy coins if playing only here. This is a problem in the game. I can solve it by driving 20km to nearest bigger town, as I’m doing tonight with my two daughters. There are children living here who spoof, ota annoying but not a suprise thar it happens.
Of course the gyms are easier to hold with less players.
I wonder if Niantic is gonna do anything about this? Also raids (as said here many times before) are quite useless in rural areas.
