Since the last update or so, the format of the date stamp has changed (the one on each Pokemon that tells you when it was caught). The tag used to be gold with black lettering – easy to read. Now it is light yellow with white lettering – so basically impossible to read. Is this a glitch, or is it just my phone, or what? I liked the old version, where you could actually read the date.
I have that light yellow block as well. I am not a fan of it. The old tag was great.

My guess is that it’s a visual bug, because it looks like one. There’s been quite a few of them spreading around lately and Niantic seems content to ignore them for the time being.

The way it overlaps with the pen symbol makes me think it’s a mistake. Can’t imagine when a cosmetic bug like that might get fixed, though.

I’ve got the same issue. All of the Pokemon i own with a date stamp, or date tag whatever you wanna call it, got this bright square instead of the usual tag we know since 2018
