So much spinning death circle last night when I wanted to do a trade session. Lengthy times of waiting so just gave up trying and went and did something else.
Lost my opportunity to throw dust away and get same same junk back in return
Last day for Gira and again I couldn’t find one yet 2 to do on the way to work.
If I wanted Rainbow Dash I could of done 12 of those.
Reluctantly I did one so not to waste a free pass.
Never got my great Gira again, not happy.
Yes, almost all the T1 raids were new horse.
In the post-raid capture screen, Darkrai shifts frequently from center to side, but very rarely makes its swoop move (when it’s easiest to target a throw). It pauses between one and ten seconds after each sideways shift, but makes sideways shifts every second or so. Kind of the inverse of Giratina-O, whose boss shifted up and down rather infrequently, but rarely paused more than a half second between swoop moves.
I’m not sure which is more frustrating; but if you have something else scheduled near to raid time, Darkrai seems to force the choice between rushed throws and being late.
For me Darkrai always (and almost immediately) goes to the left side, which is very annoying as I can only throw Curveball throws that go to the right (but end up in the middle). Sometimes it takes like a minute for Darkrai to go back to the middle or to the right. Very annoying.
I’ve been working on spinning throws in both directions, to put the sides in-play. It takes a lot of practice to become even minimally competent spinning clockwise, when you naturally spin counter-clockwise. I suspect it’s the same for clockwise throwers to learn to spin counter-clockwise, too.
It still seems like the only way to push Darkrai to make its swoop move in a timely fashion is to reach for the berry: Mine tend to swoop as soon as I click on the berry, which temporarily disables throwing by making the ball disappear for the user to choose a berry. Barring the berry choice, getting Darkrai to swoop is usually a tedious and time-wasting stare-down contest.
I can make counter-clockwise Curveball throws but they will never get me a Great or Excellent throw. If I spin the Ball clockwise I can get Excellent most of the time if I’m taking the time. That is why I hate it when Darkrai goes to the left side. When it goes to the right side it’s easier for me to make a Great/Excellent throw, but still far not as easy as it is when Darkrai just stays in the middle. Same goes for other Pokémon such as Barboach.
Having a device that puts most curve balls past the center point (making it nearly impossible to land a direct hit on something right in the screen’s center, especially if it’s far away), I’d give your post more than one like if I could. So permit me to use this workaround:
I sometimes have to catch - for example - a Legendary for others because they aren’t that good at throwing and whatever I do, the Ball just doesn’t want to land into the cirlce, indeed. Maybe it is also because I am used to my own phone, though. Anyways, for some devices it can be pretty hard, indeed . Especially tablets.
It takes much longer to catch Darkrai than Giratina Origin when you want it to stay at center, attack and throw the ball at it
It certainly takes longer to catch when nineteen “Great” curve balls in a row landed with Golden Razz, and it still ends up fleeing. What a crock.
Darkrai and Kyoge would have to be the most frustrating Raid Bosses to catch.
So much time wasted sitting idle waiting for the most appropriate time to throw.
In order to reduce wasted time I now alternate between Nanab - Grazz. Less time wasted waiting and less wasted throws either getting inpatient or stuffing due to waiting.
It’s surprising how many are still getting caught on the Nanab which often has me questioning the whole Berry type percentage chance increase being a big con on us the players.
What if Berry type really added nothing. Just think about that for a bit.
I can’t add a post of my latest Battle Sim for Darkrai as it’s coming up with a too many replies in a row error and that I need to wait until someone else replies in the How Much Damage can you do thread.
To be fair, all of Who is actually going to use the pokestop reviewing thing? (Wayfarer) AND MORE seems to be fit into this topic as well xD
Sick of ghosts mooching to the side of the screen… or pulling the figure-of-eight shuffle… or leaping out of balls multiple times.
I’ll be glad when this event is dead and buried
Yeah, the catch driffloon event and then the make 9 nice throws in a row was very frustrating.
128 freaking Spiritomb quests before my girfriend had her shiny one…
I have 5 after the same amount…
We had to go full ham all-in every day for the entire event to get her her own shiny. This wasn’t fun.
At least now i can give her one and she can trade her own one for something special. And i can trade 3 more for something special.
How often people want cheap advertisements on this forum… last 5 days we have deleted 7 users for spamming to promote their stuff.
I think it is actually more than seven. For a long time I barely had to use my moderation function and now bots or advertisers are spamming like crazy.
Since I complained so much here about missing raids I got invited to when I was out of remote passes and had to chase all over to hit bag full, make space, go back and buy passes only to get back too late to join, let me thank Niantic for adding a feature to let us buy passes on the spot when we’re trying to join a raid but are out of passes.
I haven’t tested what it will do when I try that with a full bag. That may still sting. But at least when I have room but no pass, it will let me buy passes and go in. Woo hoo.
