Yes. I believe it ran away. Or I did. But it did at least break out.
The screen doesn’t show a Pokéball to throw at the mon… how can I catch it without a ball to throw?

Next time you see the game normal, put the finger on the ball, close your eyes and once thrown look where the ball is. Maybe this way you can make a training for this situation…

I tried to track the hole with the Compass, but it was outside of the Pokémon World, somewhere in space where I couldn’t find it. I guess the whole space must be the hole.

Can’t for the life of me imagine what could cause the point of view to shift down and the size of everything get blown up. But it seems to be a common form of glitch these days.
Afterthought: Guessing the viewpoint elevation is somehow being cleared to 0…
