Try that at the Blackjack table and you might get yourself seriously hurt. PoGo players aren’t quite that dogmatic about their unwritten rules of play; but some can get rather snippy about some pet peeves.
As for @NotanotherKangaskhan’s point – burning rare candy on Pokémon that aren’t Legendary or Pseudolegendary may be a stoned offense more than a stoning offense. 
While I won’t be using this against Zapdos, I decided this week was the time to level up the one Mega-Evolution-capable Pokemon I missed during my big level up spree about two months ago.
With Moltres around the corner, I decided to level up a classic counter to him. That being said, this Omastar sadly does not know Rock Slide just yet.
I won’t be using this against Giratina, but as you can see by the date tag, this one has been VERY patient in waiting for me to level it up. I figured that since Giratina is weak to both Ice and Ghost, I figured I would thematically level up this little lady.
