Leveled this one up a couple days ago thematically for Registeel. Obviously no plans of using it, but it turns out this is currently the final Fire-type hundo I have that wasn’t at the time leveled up to level 40.

It’s not technically a family, but then again, it could evolve in the future.
Have no intentions of using this one against Thundurus, but as it turns out, I’m finally starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel for Level 40 candidates. I thematically level them up based on super-effective typings and movesets, and it turns out I only have two that fit that criteria in this case.
It’s simply because you are too good…
Not going to be used for Lugia, but same issue as last time: running out of thematic Pokémon to level up to Level 40.
EDIT: After careful consideration of current Pokémon GO trajectories, I’ve decided to re-evaluate my play style entirely and decided to level up Pokémon that I would either use imminently in raids–should I happen to be around for them–future Mega Evolutions, or those that may prove useful in GO Battle League. This has severely diminished my stardust count as I have now become a complete F2P player, no longer purchasing anything and using my remaining Poke Coints on Incubators.
I will also be playing significantly less than before. Niantic’s choices has forced me to this. I hope one day to return to my old style, but circumstances will not permit that.
These two were part of that mass level up.

EDIT: Decided to reinstate my original mentality to level up just one Pokemon per raid cycle, mainly based on how much Stardust is required.
EDIT2: And for the coming of Tapu Bulu.
Can’t edit the previous post anymore…
Obviously not going to use this against any Genesect I do, but hey, it’s the final Fire-type hundo I had left to level up to 40.
EDIT: Not going to use this against Tapu Fini either, but hey, might as well…
Couldn’t edit the last post anymore.
@Arem1771 , a very little and personal question,
Why you put your resources to maximize the Pokemon like Liepard, Dewgong, Mawile, etc. , who don’t serves any purpose in the game, be it GBL or Raids ?
Like a few of us the end goal is to have a maxed out 100% IV of everything.
Yes highly improbable but it’s fun trying and the Dust and Candy is there to be used.
L40 is just the old max with Candy before L50 was introduced with XL Candy plus we started a thread for L40 before L50 came along.
It’s just a different meta. You just like to fight, with others or in raids, I am a pure collector, in real life with old stamps, or books, and here collecting Pokémon, the more rare or the more valued, even better.
Any hundo will get leveled up to level 50 eventually for me. I catch enough Pokémon that I make a net gain between level ups, even those only a week apart, so it’s just a fun little thing for me to do.
I am first and foremost a hundo collector, and even if they’re garbage, they will eventually get the level up one of these days. Obviously I prioritize Pokémon that are meta-relevant first and foremost, but I have so many level 50 meta-relevant hundos now that it’s about the lesser ones at this point.
Thanks for your input.
I don’t prefer Master League, nor I am capable of participating in raids, hence 2500 CP is what I had capped for my catches.
