Also IVs become random on trades so the IV of the Pokémon traded to you isn’t important.

If you get a lucky, the other one will get a lucky as well. But allways it’s a great sensation to get one.

My colleague doesn’t catch much, he only plays for the dex from home and during smoke breaks at work, but when he does i can have it. And so i got a shiny cubchoo today.for a new pokedex entry for him.
Already had a shiny timburr and shinx from him this way.

Edit: on my way home i found out the cubchoo turned out into a 96% IV yolo trade. Double happy now
