Yeah thats not really my idea of an enjoyable time either. Thats why i stopped at 2 Smeargle. I dont really need more. Actually only needed 1, the 2nd one just hopped along the 2nd day. After reading on the 3rd that people needed 400 pictures for 1 encounter, i decided to just not go there.
There will be an event or something where he will pop up more. Will wait for that. If not… too bad.

The first picture of a set. Anytime you switch Pokemon or back out of the Snapshot refreshes the set.

That’s what I’d been trying. Switching Pokemon was a royal pain in the rear, and it seemed like at least half the time I backed out of the snapshot mode the game froze indefinitely and required a restart.

Are you taking you r pics in AR or Ar+?
Ar+ is a lot more time consuming but if does give you a much better pic if that’s what you want.
If you don’t care about the pics just use AR to get it done as quick as possible.
