Espurr was a new shiny for me.
I have absolutely no idea what happened. + Rookidee, Elgyem and 3 Espurr on the alt. Will probably send the Shiny Elgyem over to the main eventually.
Both the Machop and Machoke were leftovers from the Machop CD that I never claimed because I couldn’t care enough. Little did I know they were both shiny.
I love the blue zangoose. goes perfectly with red-belly lugia.
Yes! I checked Lugia’s shiny the other day, seeing it was back in raids, and it’s great indeed!
I was very lucky today!
I think this is one of the most beautiful shinies I’ve seen so far! I’ve been hoping to catch it in many events and it’s finally here. ![]()
And I love it when a new pokedex register is also a new shiny!
I got this one in “explore 1km” research. I have another one to complete, maybe I’ll get another tandemaus (shiny or not) as I also want the evolution some day.
He’s as surprised as I was when I saw what had popped! ![]()
I hatched 4 eggs in total in this event and the shiny was the 4th one. I’m very happy about this!
I grabbed 2 more eggs, I think, so I should have around 3 more Munchlax to hatch in total. But that can wait for another day, it’s way too hot now in my area to play.
Looks like 4 was today’s lucky number…
The hatch animation never popped sadly. Didn’t go hard on this at all, it’s just that I was playing anyway that I decided to incubate a few extra eggs, so I used up three 1 use Incubators but nothing more. Turns out that was just enough, because I hatched the shiny on the 4th egg as well.
I thought 4 was the lucky number because yours was also the 4th hatch, but then I kept reading…
You’re very lucky! I’d like to get a shiny abra too, so I’m clicking on every single one I see, but nothing so far…
How do you manage to get the screenshot with the shiny animation so perfectly? My phone has a tricky screenshot, so I can never be that fast, unfortunately. It’s very nice to see the circle with the stars.
Ah, yeah it can be a bit tricky timing wise. There’s only one very small frame where you see the star circle in its full glory, and I often miss it too, like on the shiny Abra in the post above.
You can theoretically hop into AR mode and back out, and see the circle again, but it’s honestly not worth it. The game seems to crash more often than not by doing so, which would be an unfortunate way to lose a shiny.
Alternatively you can go to screen record before the sparkles appear, and then take a picture of your screen record. Though honestly I personally don’t bother that much, haha. Me personally I just hope to get the timing right.
I probably shouldn’t tell you this considering you’d like to get a shiny Abra, but… In reality I’d hoped it’d run ![]()
I’ve noticed there’s a lot of debate going on whether shinies can flee or not assuming normal conditions, and Abra is the perfect Pokémon to test this on, considering it has a 99% flee rate normally. Since I have the full shiny family complete I wanted to test whether they can or cannot flee but sadly this one was too low CP and was basically bound to be caught even with a regular PokéBall. So the hunt for Shiny Abras continues…
That would definitely be interesting to test out. I still get nervous about encountering shinies in the wild and having them flee. I always use a purple berry, but when it doesn’t work the first time I start getting nervous… I’ve used orange ones before, too…
Needless to say I’m not chancing it with Abra, it would be an orange one, for sure.
I leave the testing for other people, here. ![]()
You would actually be surprised how hard it is to research if wild shinies can still flee, funnily enough. Which I guess makes the research redundant, anyway, but it left me interested for a while. But even then I do agree, I always berry them as well, especially if they’re not duplicates. I don’t even think about it anymore in fact, I just berry them on auto-pilot at this point. Though theoretically there chances of losing them to fleeing are actually really small, if it can still happen that is.
Unfortunately, not for me. I could only get 4 eggs and none of them was shiny. ![]()
