# Feeding pokemon in gyms giving candies?

Welcome back! Feeding mons in gyms controlled by the same team as your trainer has been part of the game for at least 7 years. Is there something different about it now?

I dump berries in Gyms all the time. Nothing has changed for a few years since it was introduced way back.

Yup the other comments are right. Has been a thing since the Gym rework back in… what was it? 2018? I honestly don’t remember 😅

I got a candy for the pokemon I was feeding along with mega candy and never had that happen before

Personally I have never received any candy yet.
