Jellyfish Pokemon

Type: Water
Ht: 1’ 0"
Wt: 1 lb

Floajel are common water Pokemon who come in four different versions of varying rarity: purple (80%), blue (10%), orange (8%), and brown (2%). Traveling in schools, columns and swarms of Floajel are a frequent underwater spectacle. Harmless and not aggressive at all, swimmers routinely swim among large groups of floajel which causes the Pokemon to speed up as they orbit around the swimmer.

Floajel are based on jellyfish. Their name is a portmanteau of “float” and “jellyfish”.

It is believed that Venozoan are actually several small Pokemon living as a colony and that each tentacle thinks and acts independent of the others.

Venozoan are based off of Portugese Man O’ War jellyfish. Their name is a combination of “venom” and “protozoan”.

Found time to finish drawing (but not coloring) a bunch of stuff. Some things I’m working on:

  • pseudo-legendary dragon based on fireworks and parade dragons.

  • a squid mixed with kelp

  • ants with multiple evolutions - fighting, fire, psychic

  • a bug that has four evolutions depending on the season it evolves in

  • a ghost/storm mix

  • a leaf pile/ghost

  • a snow owl

  • anaconda

  • kudzu plant

  • monarch butterfly

  • fighting/bug based on a grasshopper

  • fire/flying based on a cardinal

  • electric/flying based on a canary

  • marionette/ballerina that is the opposite of a voodoo doll Pokemon I posted earlier

  • fire type based on a bat

  • my first full blown legendaries … one is a deep sea creature that controls water Pokemon, the other is a hydra that can change type …

… and a bunch more. I hope to do some coloring this weekend so I can finally start posting again.

I have some done, but am holding off until I have more. I want to dedicate myself to one a week (at least), so I’m trying to get ahead. I don’t want another lengthy lull. :stuck_out_tongue:

… and finally I return to my dex …

Kamikazbee

Divebomb Pokemon

Type: Fire/Bug
Ht: 1’ 8"
Wt: 18 lbs
Abilities: Anger Point, Compound Eye

Kamikazbee are dangerous pests that leave a trail of destruction wherever they go. Swarming in large packs, Kamikazbee are always airborne, are deathly silent, and love nothing more than to drop on to unsuspecting and random targets exploding on contact. You never hear them coming … until it’s too late. For trainers, catching a Kamikazbee is a badge of honor since you typically get one shot at them before they inevitably self destruct.

Kamikazbee is based on a bee with fighter pilot elements. It’s name is a portmanteau of “kamikaze” which were Japanese fighter pilots in WWII who deliberately crashed into targets, and “bee”.

HP: 30

Beezooka

Firebug Pokemon

Type: Fire/Bug
Ht: 4’ 5"
Wt: 70 lbs
Abilities: Anger Point, Compound Eyes, Swarm

Should a trainer succeed in catching a Kamikazbee, they will be rewarded with the highly loyal Beezooka. Unlike their pre-evolutions, which are focused on mass chaos and disorder, Beezooka are more focused on structure and strategy. Using it’s weaponized arms, Beezooka create an explosive gel that explodes into a small ball of fire seconds after attaching to it’s target. Beezooka are experts at utilizing this ability and will strike with precision. Beezooka are loyal to their trainers, especially those who value structure and well thought out plans.

Beezooka is based on a wasp or bee. It’s name is a take on the word “bazooka”, combining the term with “bee”.

Stats:

HP: 75
ATT: 105
DEF: 60
SA: 110
SD: 70

New Move:

Fire Gel (Fire): The Pokemon launches a sticky gel that attaches to it’s opponent. This gel will explode in 2-4 turns, doing more damage the longer it takes to go off. Targets are inflicted with Burn afterwards.

Moves:

Bug: Bug Buzz, Fell Stinger, Fury Cutter, U-Turn, Quiver Dance
Fire: Ember, Fire Blast, Fire Spin, Flame Charge, Flare Blitz
Flying: Acrobatics, Aerial Ace, Bounce, Fly
